Weighing only 2.2 oz without batteries, the UR1M Micro-Bodypack Transmitter is the most compact bodypack available from Shure. It works with headworn, lavalier, and instrument microphones and cables. Its removable antenna provides additional flexibility, and a threaded connector securely locks microphone or instrument cables. Other advanced features include a multi-function bit-mapped LCD, frequency and power lockout and infrared automatic transmitter sync. The UR1 can be used continuously for up to 9 hours using 2 x AAA lithium batteries. (6 hours using alkaline or NiMH)
About half the size of most standard bodypacks, this micro-bodypack transmitter is easily concealed and designed to be worn comfortably by public speakers, actors, musicians, and other performers.
Operating on the premium Shure UHF-R Wireless platform, the UR1M offers the same audio performance as Shure’s UR1 – superior wireless audio and an industry-leading tuning range – all in a durable, ultra-compact and lightweight form factor.
The most important difference between the UR1 body pack transmitter and the UR1M is size. The UR1M is ½ the length of the UR1. Without batteries, the UR1M is 1/3 lighter than the UR1. "M" stands for Miniature in the UR1M model number.
The UR1M uses two AAA cells, while the UR1 uses two AA cells. Expected battery life for the UR1M is shorter than the UR1, by about 2 hours, because of the smaller AAA cells. The UR1M battery metering can be changed to match the type of battery used: Alkaline, Lithium, or NiMH. The UR1 does not have this feature.
